Carrying such titles as Ms. Fitness Western States and WOW-Women Of Wrestling World Champion, you would never believe I have overcome many obstacles with anxiety and panic to pursue a career in television, fashion and personal training. Having been diagnosed with "Generalized Anxiety Disorder," "Panic Disorder," and "OCD," I have spent the better part of the past 5 years in therapy. I belong to such programs as CHAANGE, & "Beyond Fear", where I continuously work on my self-esteem, disorders & behavioral therapy.
I decided to take all I have learned and funneled my anxiety into creating my own clothing line called Spiritual Fitness Wear ("SFW"). Through therapy I learned to use positive affirmations around my house & work to remind me to believe in myself and trust the process of life. I spent many hours alone learning to replace my days of fear & panic with tranquility & trust.
Finally, with no industry or fashion experience, I took a huge step and started SFW on a $4,000 credit card. I took my positive affirmations and turned them into Spiritual Fitness Wear. The line features all my positive affirmations on tees, tanks, pants and panties that remind the wearer to believe in the unique person they truly are, and to overcome obstacles such as anxiety, fear & worry.
After just one year, the line is featured in over 40 stores around the U.S. Praised for its promotion of happiness and self-acceptance, my line of clothing is sold in such top stores as M. Frederic, Front Runners and Lucy.
The vision and mission of the line is to help people realize that beauty comes from within. When you wear the positive affirmations they get absorbed into your being, and when you repeat the sayings you help make them a reality!
We live in a society that stresses "good looks’ and outward appearances. I have learned to admit my imperfections and embrace my anxiety, some days are still very hard and filled with fear and worry, but I spend those times meditating and doing yoga.
